Special travel arrangements

There are no extra travel arrangement made for the event. However, any participant can use special CCS discounts with HERTZ and AVIS, when booking a car with them. Use X936901 for AVIS and CDP697129 for HERTZ.

CSA (Czech Airlines) were selected as the Official Carrier of the Conference. Hence, any CSA office shall offer you special discounts 15 % in the economy class and 25 % in the business class, off the regular ticket price for flights one week before the congress and one week after the congress for you as the congress attendee and for one accompanying person. Please check this special offer with the nearest Czech Airlines office or the call centre.

Visa

Anyone who is a registered participant and needs a visa should contact us to get the formal letter of invitation.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Please be informed that i.a. in the connection with the fact that the Czech Republic became member of EU certain procedures were imposed on the process of granting visa and entry permit. As the process could be rather long (1 month in minimum) we advise everyone to consult Czech Embassy at the earliest convenience. The organizers are not legally able to provide "official invitation form certified by the Immigration and Border Police" required by the §27 of the Czech Law No. 326/1999 Sb., section (1), letter (c-d), which, however, could be replaced (the same citation and an advice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic) by the certificate of the employer that they cover travel, subsistence and other connected expenses of the participant.

Travel from airport

There is a cheap travel possibility from Prague airport to Krystal Hotel by public transportation - bus No. 119, 7th stop "Divoka Sarka", then the tram No. 20 or 26, 2nd stop "Nad Dzbanem". Tram and bus tickets are sold in tobacconist's kiosks and in yellow slot machines. Bus drivers do sell tickets as well. Price is CZK 20-25 (cca 1 EUR) . Alternatively, you can use a taxi. Be sure to negotiate fare in advance, ask taxi dispatcher for help. Taxi will cost ca CZK 200 (ca 7 EUR) driver should give you a receipt.

Other ways of travel

With other ways of travel (railway station, bus station, car) get the orientation point VITEZNE NAMESTI in Prague DEJVICE quarter (Subway/Metro) and proceed following the map to Krystal Hotel by tram No. 26, 20 - station "Nad Dzbanem" (8th station ftom the terminal station Dejvicka - Metro line A).

Accompanying Persons Program

There will be organized special "ladies program" besides the conference social events. Ladies, companions, and spouses are welcome. Accompanying person conference fee will entitle any accompanying person to attend all social events and excursions.

Money

Official Czech currency is Crown (CZK, locally abbrev. Kc) which divides into 100 Hellers (1/100 CZK, h). It is approximately 25 CZK in 1 EUR. The cheapest way is to get the Czech Crowns from ATM with your credit or debit cards (VISA, EC/MC are very popular) at the airport or in the town. At the Prague airport there is also the possibility of bank exchange. Be careful with the exchange and always check rate and commission first. Language

The official language of the meeting will be English, no translations will be provided.

Health and insurance

Be sure to consult your specialist at home in any expected special case. There is no special health risk in the Czech Republic to be expected. Health care is provided in emergency cases. In non-emergency cases the service generally need to be paid for. There are some bilateral agreements with some states. The current status should be checked in advance.
